An extraordinary thing has happened in Diamond Geezer's posting on the cablecar.
He got all the way to paragraph 10 before referring to it as the dangleway. And only two subsequent references.

At my induction session on my first day at TfL we were informed that the Cable Car is the most profitable part of TfL (but that was when Emirates were sponsors).
Glass floors do add a bit of excitement at places like Tower Bridge and the CN Tower (and even the V&A Storehouse) so I reckon it might get a return on the investment. It might even tempt me back on, but only if I'm guaranteed to ride in one!

I've ridden in cable cars with glass floors in Andorra. There's nowhere near as much added excitement as you might at first imagine.

I would be astounded if they didn't charge extra for the 'experience' - but until they do it might well be possible to go along at a quiet time and ask for the glass floor.

I feel you must make the effort and film the glass bottomed cabin.
Our friend in London explained to staff that her guests were visitors from Australia and could we have a separate cabin together. Friendly staff obliged. That was a few years ago though.

I didn't enjoy my previous experience of the dangleway due to a slight nervousness of heights (or should I say nervousness of heights when in something that feels a bit flimsy even though I know it's not), especially when my travel companions wanted us all to move around to try selfies from different angles. So I definitely won't be going on it again now.

This is actually pretty cool. It's great that the dangleway has stopped pretending it's a mode of transport and is leaning into its status as a tourist attraction. Now, all that's left is to remove it from the tube map.
