Out of all of those. I'd agree with pacers and spangles.
Spangles attemtped a re-launch back in the mid 90's but (this may have been regional, we were one of the trial areas for galaxy caramel) were only available in orange and blackcurrant flavours and, in my opinion, nothing like the originals.
Halls Mentholyptus used a similar shape (rounded square with a dished centre) for some time and I suspect it was the same mould.

Actually, Fruitella and Pink Panther bars are still available, I know you asked for it, but they really are!

Cheers Besty, now all I need to know is where...

And Douglas, I hope this means that Saturdays are back to "quality blog postings" again

Star bars are still around too.
You're right though these things can be hard to find. The usual reason is 'there's no demand' Well there is 'cause you're asking
Part of the reason you can't find some of this stuff is that shop confectionary displays get planogramed to death especially in the chains and there's no space for the slower sellers so something has to give...

Saturday's blog postings have never been in doubt

I'd forgotten about planograms and the inspectors from Mars. (That's sweets, not planet.) There was always some dire threat if Starburst weren't next to Galaxy, or summat, but for the life of me I can't remember what was threatened. Can't say I adored my eighteen months in retail, although I do take a perverse pleasure in selling people things they don't really want. Spangles are still available, I'm told, but Tunes took up much of the mould. There probably is no sweet ever made like Barratt's Sherbert Fountain - the training school for every speed and cokehead. And let me say just two more words. Flying Saucers.

Has DG got any teeth left?

Cd never get the hang of sherbert fountains cos the "fountain" bit always got so gunked up.

You can still buy Fruitella ... but how about those lolly-sized swizzles and Bazooka Joes

They don't sell Oreos in the UK? What's up with that? You could import them and probably make a fortune.

I can nearly eat my weight in Hershey bars. And I love the way they smell, too. I could happily duct tape several to my face and breathe in their chocolatey goodness all day long. I prefer eating them though.

OK, so we've determined that Fruitella, the Pink Panther bar, Starbar and Spangles still exist out there, somewhere. My dentist is not going to appreciate that news.

I didn't put Flying saucers on the list because I know they still exist - I recently got through a pack of 500 of them (over a very long period of time, I hasten to add).

I adore sherbet fountains, although they only encouraged me to progress into liquorice and not into anything harder.

Oreos are made under licence in the UK, available in a few specialist shops, but they're not a patch on the real thing.

And I'm sorry Scott, but use of the words 'Hershey' and 'chocolatey goodness' in the same sentence would be one of those oxymorons I was writing about earlier.

Aah, Spangles

Savoury vinegar crisps, Walkers new roasted onion and balsamic vinegar taste very similar
