How exciting.. an excuse to visit the famous (notorious?) Bus Stop M.
I popped in yesterday. Really enjoyed it.
In General I love your Posts,I read daily But I live in Fulham and am really not interested about constant Updates about Bow Road´s Bus stop not having timetables, Or for that matter the Platform schedule on your local Tube Station,FFS there are many Londoners that would Love to have a Tube Station in there area... Stop Bitching and be thankful for what you have.
My apologies for writing about an art exhibition several miles from where you live, Alan.
@Alan Platt
Simple. If you see a post that you don't want to read, then don't read it! Skip to something else. The clue to the content is usually in the heading or first paragraph. Not everybody likes the same thing.

Whether on DG or anywhere else, there are always posts / articles that are not of any interest to me among with the many that are. I just ignore those I don't want to read. I do exactly the same with a newspaper.
I live several miles away from Bow, have never visited and don't use public transport. But I find the saga of Bus Stop M fascinating. And also enjoy the conundrum of the train indicators.
I was wandering past a building site in Lewisham on Sunday and saw a Bus Stop M surrounded by wire (Heras) fencing. Could this be the start of a conspiracy? I think we should be told.
Visited the exhibition yesterday and found it more interesting for its sociological and historic perspective than for any great artistic merit, though the first two pictures reminded me slightly of Ravilious and those of the night-watchmen and 'Carol' had merit.
Worth a detour, maybe not the journey I made from St Paul's.

Aghast only to read now that I lit from the bus at Bus Stop M without realising it at all!
