Slightly surprised you didn't highlight the curtailment of the D6 at Cambridge Heath - well short of Hackney Central. This will force people to use two buses to get to /from Roman Rd and points east to / from Hackney Central.
Given the way that buses can get stuck backing up the Narroway (especially with driver changes), diverting everything round Amhurst Road might not slow journeys down too much - at busy times it might actually speed things up.

Curtailing the D6 at Ash Grove is a pretty odd move = the 106 and 425 do already cover some of the links south from Hackney, but Roman Road and the Isle of Dogs are cut off in a stroke. Is this an issue of stand space in Hackney? In previous years of plenty TfL could have considered extending the route through Hackney to somewhere that provided new through links (Dalston Junction? Stoke Newington?), instead they want to butcher the service to a pointless destination of their convenience rather than the passengers - saving a couple of buses in the process. Sad state of affairs.
On the plus side, this will bring southbound buses closer to the two railway stations in Hackney
As a stranger, I was surprised to learn (from SV) that building in front of the church is a betting shop! Well, I never.
The rather grand looking bookies at the foot of the Narrowway was originally the town hall, then laterally a bank.

The bus changes got a mention in this week's Hackney Today, which also publicises the sprucing up of shopfronts in the area - more details at http://www.hackney.gov.uk/hc-shop-front-improvements.htm

The only reason I can think of the D6 terminating so short is Arriva not allowing it to turn in their depot. Without the Narrowway triangle to turn in, it'd probably have to go up to the Lea Bridge Roundabout. I suppose they could have extended the route to there, but it would probably require an extra bus.
