Talk about coincidence - I watched the 1984 TV show of Coot Club last night.

Once you get past the fact that some of the boats are less wooden than the actors, it's quite entertaining: lots of lovely bird and scenery shots - almost enough to tempt a guy back into a boat.

Interesting that the walk PDF highlights the station as the most isolated in the UK - when this honour clearly belongs to Corrour. Made somewhat notable by it's appearance in trainspotting, it's used mostly by hill-walkers and cyclists and according to the usage figures on wikipedia clocks 13 times the annual visitors - 13k vice 1k - as Berney Arms. The only vehicle access is a fifteen mile land rover track belonging to the Corrour Estate which I get the impression they like to pretend doesn't exist to the rich and famous who pay a few thousand a night to stay there.

God DG, you make it sound every bit as bad as I remember, but the photos sent me a bit nostalgic, though I can't actually think why!
