To borrow a recent theme, I have questions:
2. Why? 20. Yeah but why? 25. Seriously, why? |

23. The member of staff on the Liberty line: what they’re doing is not being on strike.

3. The Royal Festival Hall seems to have lost its way in being a premier venue for classical music.

19 - I still remember warnings from when I was a child about taking sweets from strangers. It's occurred to me that this would be a good way to mass poison lots of people under the guise of giving away free food.
26 - Times were different then. |

9. I can confirm that the speed camera on the Bow Road at Harley Grove is calibrated for the 20mph limit, as my daughter got a ticket for doing 25mph (tsk)

24. Glasses from this range come up on eBay from time to time if you’d like a replacement. But it wouldn’t be the same. Sic transit gloria mundi.

24. My commiserations.
I have personally found that having a small person in the house from toddler to tweenager has also culled some of my heirloom items, at times leading me to sigh and subvocalise "This is why we can't have nice things". Careless washing up of glassware also results in casualties. |

11. I am currently conducting an experiment on myself by not having consumed any news media at all since 3rd May. It has really improved my life. My mood is much better and my view of the world more optimistic. I don't know how long I can continue and if there will be some unwelcome side effects but, man, I feel better.

11 - hard call to make, on the one hand there isn't much you can do about world events, so why bother; on the other the passivity of the population is depressing and msm just lies by omission.
23 - endless boredom with the possibility of becoming the target of life changing acts of violence. 24 - add bolx and sell it as art. 26 - probably need a trigger warning plus the offer of post-trauma counselling today. 31 - vuvuzelas are still a thing? |

5. The vegetable oil pictured in the Swanley Mini Market window is an old design for Solesta, which is an Aldi own brand...
19. Pasties? In a toaster?! |

1. You must carry a notebook to record all these occurrences!
11. I've drastically cut down on all my social media & news content since 2020. Anxiety levels have gone right down. 12. I agree. |

16. About 5 years ago I had a chat with a policewoman who was exercising her horse on Blackheath. She said she was from the stables at Lewisham nick and was off to the West Ham game later that day.
They pop them in a horse box and potter through the Blackwall Tunnel to get there. |

5: I'm pretty sure that flavour of Monster is long discontinued.

1. Presumably the thirteen said hello first otherwise the numbers imply a miserable walk.

5) Not happy about the perspective on the tin of Monster Energy Ultra. |

Days that haven't attracted comment:
4 6 7 8 13 14 15 17 18 21 22 27 28 29 30 (which is the first time half the days have gone unreferenced, also by far the fewest comments an Unblogged post has ever received, ah well) |

8. My mum was one of the founders of the Barnes Country Market which used to be held every Friday morning in Rose House opposite Barnes Pond. Sadly they were all ladies of a certain age and as they died off the market died though to my amusement is still on some internet listings years on. The lemon drizzle was particularly fine.
