If you claim the central line compensation, you could add it to the £100 and buy a PDA. I'd buy a Palm (M130 down to about £149 now), but you may prefer a Pocket PC.

Anyway, you can get a PDA for under £100 now, but it wouldn't be up to much. Plus, if you buy a Palm, you'd eventually want a stowaway keyboard, but Expansys have a Palm one for £69.12 inc delivery (I know, I've just bought one).

You could then write DG from anywhere you happen to be and upload it using your mobile phone. We need never be without our daily fix again

And I want to post some more ideas, but I have misplaced my Argos catalogue; if I find it in the next 5.5 hours, I will treat you to some more suggestions.

PDAs are good for lists too.
And some will do music.

Found the Argos catalogue, just in time.
Daddy Blue Witch was doing some armchair retail therapy.
He asked, as I wrestled it from his hands, "What are you planning to buy?" Erm, you don't want to know Daddy Blue Witch, I said.

So - to prove I have been reading carefully, how about:

1. To improve your tea:
421/2131 Brita Acclario rapid boil water-filter kettle, £49.95 (P 281)

2. To cut down your ironing time:
410/8070 Philips GC6022 Provapor steam generator, £99.99 (P 32

3. To ensure you never need to go clubbing again and can dedicate all your non-work time to writing DG for our entertainement:
540/6386 Light sequencer, £49.99 (P 759). Also, to go with it (and spend up the £100), a mirror ball, I'm sure you'll find one somewhere.

4. To improve your internet experience and enable you to write DG from your armchair:
676/1721 Logitech cordless desktop optical keyboard and mouse, £99.95 (P 841). NB You can get a very similar Logitech set from Viking for £49.99 + VAT currently.

5. To ensure you do get enough exercise for times when you are too tired (or drunk) to walk up the escalator in the tube station:
441/3947 Rio slim-gym muscle toner, £59.95. Looks like it might have other uses too
