It runs through my old school - pretty much along the course of a stream. There used to be a marker underneath a shop window (I think it was Paydens the Chemist) on Station Road East - have no idea if it's still there.

The Bluebell Railway in Sussex just outside of Sheffield Park station - there's a meridian marker there.

Wow, was it really five years ago you did the Northern trip? Time really is flying by.

A very timely post. I was out walking yesterday and wondered why I had to walk a fair distance further down the field edge from the plaque marking the meridian line until I reached the point where the GPS read zero.

My other, older and less accurate GPS made the differential between plaque and meridian considerably less.

I used to live in Louth, at 0° 0′ 06″. On a Friday night the queue outside the chip shop used to go from the western hemisphere to the eastern! It was great
