How poignant the entry for 2009 is.
Moved by 2009 - my sympathy, even after all these years. Confused by 1977 for two reasons: your age, and BASIC typically being interpreted rather than compiled.
I was 12 when I first learned BASIC. We didn't have a computer on site, someone had to drive down the M4 and feed the punched cards into a mainframe.
For 2022/2023, does that mean you are focusing on the A259 rather than the A59?

2008.
IoW. Did you go for the Island Steam Show?
2011
'Only Connect'. Our younger daughter was on the winning team the other week!
(Proud daddy moment)
Regular subscribers won't be surprised by the detail you've recorded across the years. But I'm shocked that you record when you cut your nails.
Will 28 August 2023 say "Had an interesting day looking through my old diaries?"
OMG I'm sorry to read that the overpriced eclipse hotel room was booked over a year in advance!

Perhaps consider Spain in 2026/27?
I'm intrigued by 2006. And I like the idea of emergency ravioli (2019).
1983: "Wrote an escape room programme for the ZX81."

I'd say "crikey, that was ahead of its time", but I'm going to (rudely?) guess that the inspiration was The Adventure Game, one of several things which presaged the genre.
To my minor disappointment I missed the start of radio 5 as I was in the Netherlands for the 1990 World SF Convention (Worldcon). Prior to this we went to West Berlin (all by train as that was what was cheap in those days). The wall was down and the Ostmark had gone but the reunification had not yet happened. It was not clear whether our rail tickets let us go into East Berlin so we didn't go as much as we could have, which I regret more than missing the start of Radio 5. Its start and finish (which I did listen to) can be found on YouTube
Mondays (bank holiday or otherwise) have been laundry, grocery shopping and general chore days for as far back as I can remember - or at least all my parenting life!

So, one load in, awaiting the delivery, and tackling 'stuff' still to come!
How strange. For every August bank holiday of the last 25+ years I have been in exactly the same place. I'm there now.
Tried to trace whether I'd unwittingly been close to you on any Bank Holidays - it turns out not. 93-4 would figure agewise as the peak-dating era. But how touching is that reference to the "emergency ravioli" - I hope it was replenished in time for lockdown.
Repeat of 2022 at a guess
