What a wonderful eye you have for a 'different' picture.
These are always listed as sewer pipes/Northern Outfall Sewer, but surely the sewer pipe/Northern Outfall Sewer is carried by the great big white structure on the right (you wouldn't need all that metalwork to carry a mere footpath), one is more likely to be for mains water, the right hand pipe is curved whereas the left one is straight, I don't see sewage flowing uphill without a pump, but a pressurized water main would.
