I seem to remember a post a while back about your work world changing for ever, and not for the better. Hope the two aren't initimately connected. |
..you go to a lot of other people's leaving parties but never have one of your own. |
What a brilliant and thought-provoking post. And yet, rather depressing. For a Saturday and all. I think I might go back to bed now. |
Klingons usually end up at war eventually. Energise while you still can. |
If you stay in the same job for to long. You end up owning your own €400,000 house, 80\\% of last salary pension, and all the time in the world, to live a stress free LIFE. |
Ouch, ouch, ouch, but how true. Which is why I left early (though not without making sure the mortgage was at least paid off). But "life can be pretty good" is in there, I notice. Another way of putting it might be "you accept you're working to live, not living to work". |
I didn't stay in the same job for too long and started my own business. By a combination of luck and extremely hard work, I own 3 houses, have no worry about pensions and the only stresses in my life are those I entertain |
I have never stayed in the same job for more than two years and I am craving stability. But then I have heard you shouldn't stay in one for more than 5 or you are considered unambitious. Who's right? |
work politics - its fraught! |
all change Geez. you'll be somewhere better in a year's time. |
Michael. Alright for some. |
