My diary shows weeks ending on a Sunday, so this week next year allows all 4 calculations:
2+2=4 (2/2/4)
8รท2=4 (8/2/4)
6-2=4 (6/2/4)
2x2=4 (2/2/4 - but this is the same date as 2+2=4. Do all 4 dates have to be different?)

If the 4 dates don't have to be different, then all 4 calculations are due to appear in a week that comes before 2/2/04.

I think I worked out the first part...
3+1=4 (3/1/04)
4*1=4 (4/1/04)
5-1=4 (5/1/04)
4/1=4 (4/1/04)

but I can't get anywhere near the second part.

Where do you get these from? Either you've got Carol Vorderman's brain in a jar there, or you've got a bumper book of puzzles...

First part's exactly right.
Second part's correct too

As for where the puzzles come from, almost all of them are original.

I suspect the best place for Carol Vorderman's head is in a jar, but I'd rather not go there thanks.

You bugger - you had me scratching my head for an hour this morning trying to work it out....

Now, the year has to be divisible by a number less than 31 to give a whole number...and the month with the solution in it has to be less than or equal to a solution to the first part...oh come on...there has to be a way of working this out...
