How many of the 10 states could you name?
Have a go at answering before you scroll down to see the answers. ↓ ↓ ↓ 1) Colorado 2) Alabama 3) Louisiana 4) Idaho 5) Florida 6) Ohio 7) Rhode Island 8) North Dakota 9) Illinois 10) Arizona How many of the 10 states did you name? |
Appalling, I only knew three and guessed 2.
No 11 - Delaware? |
Six.
I only managed three, but I really should have managed double that.
four: Florida, Ohio, Rhode Island, and North Dakota. Not very good.
got 2 but #11 is California
California maybe?
I got 9 of them - got the wrong A withArkansas instead of Alabama |
9. Montana for Idaho.
got the lot though a bit tricky in deciding between Utah and Colorado, and Georgia and Alabama.
11 = California? |
I got three. I thought 9 could be Ohio, wasn't sure so didn't fill it in. Been to 3.
Thought I knew 4, turned out I knew 3. Surprised myself by knowing Idaho.
11 = Hawaii (and couldn't fit on map)? |
This is one of my pointless skills, so I got all 10.
All 10. But initially called Illinois Ohio as thought all the states ended in a vowel and that was the link! Then spotted the California link.
As for no 11, I can't see any order at all so no idea
7 (not 4,6,8).
I was once taken to a bar in Texarkana, a town that as its name suggests straddles the Texas/Arkansas border, as this establishment itself did. It was legal to drink at 18 in Texas but at 21 in Arkansas, so you can guess which part was crowded! |
Six - Alabama, Louisiana, Florida, Ohio, North Dakota, Illinois.
All ten
Five: Louisiana, Florida Rhode Island, North Dakota, Illinois
Really should have got two more right, though |
Only got them all because you made it easy with your structured answer grid, it was Nevada that was eluding me... ...and see what trap I fell into, my Nevada was really North Dakota! |
All 10, have been to 6 of them and 27 others.
They call it Independence Day, we might call it 245 Years & no regrets Day |
Seven
Oh dear. Only 5 although totally foiled the California element which probably would have upped my score a bit if I had seen it.
Fun! Thank you. |
9 out of 10 thanks to the California link. Idaho proving elusive.
Seven. Quite pleased. But did not spot the link partly because I used a piece of paper rather then the grid and had Dakota instead of N. Dakota. Good fun though. Thanks.
10, but living in Maryland for a few years as a kid, and following Presidential elections closely for quite a while, probably gives me an advantage. We went on a road trip when I was seven and reached all but 2 of the contiguous 48. Got to dig out my postcard collection some day.
Got all 10, but I worked in the USA on and off at various locations for 10 years, so a bit more familiar with the geography than most.
A frankly pathetic 4 - but only spotted #11 to be California after checking the answers
I got 7 out of 10, I missed out on Idaho, Colarado and Alabama. (No idea about #11)
Having travelled by greyhound bus from Toronto to Chicago, New Orleans, Key West and New York I went through 5 of those but only got 3 of them, and also went through about 4 others I didn't know.
I remember announcements on the bus at the borders telling us which substances we were allowed to smoke. |
Only three, Florida, Ohio & North Dakota, Florida being the only one I was certain of.
7. Should have got 8 because I used to live right next door to one of them!!
Only Florida and Illinoi, the latter only because I was recently checking something about Chicago.
9/10 was unsure if it was Those Island or Connecticut - I went for the wrong one.
Full house, so a moment of smugness enjoyed.
10 out of 10 amazingly !!!
Could be following American Football has finally paid off. First time I've ever gotten anywhere near 100% in any of your quizzes DG. |
10 out of 10 is not 100% in this quiz ;)
Damn, didn't notice there was another question. Back to the drawing board.
Stops polishing halo and slinks off. |
8 out of ten - but despite watching repeats of the repeats of American Pickers, I still wrongly identified their home state, Iowa.
No idea what the connection might be for the mystery 11th... but always fancied a trip to Oregon. |
Oh dear - I only got one right (Florida)!
Got the ten and the mnemonic
8/10, didn't get arizona (new mexico) and lousiana (missouri)
Just 4 - Rhode Island (Family Guy fan), Louisiana (intrigued by New Orleans), Alabama (To Kill a Mockingbird) and Florida (everyone knows that one, right?)
I thought I might have been done better, given I always follow the US elections. Have never set foot in the place, but had a holiday there booked for last year. |
