I was once taken to a bar in Texarkana, a town that as its name suggests straddles the Texas/Arkansas border, as this establishment itself did. It was legal to drink at 18 in Texas but at 21 in Arkansas, so you can guess which part was crowded!

10, but living in Maryland for a few years as a kid, and following Presidential elections closely for quite a while, probably gives me an advantage. We went on a road trip when I was seven and reached all but 2 of the contiguous 48. Got to dig out my postcard collection some day.

Having travelled by greyhound bus from Toronto to Chicago, New Orleans, Key West and New York I went through 5 of those but only got 3 of them, and also went through about 4 others I didn't know.

I remember announcements on the bus at the borders telling us which substances we were allowed to smoke.
