Typical, picking my borough after I've moved out of it =) Not sure your pick of the retail road is the most representative of the area. |
Of course there is the more well known one at the Brentford Steam Museum also within Hounslow borough. Some other places of interest: Syon House and Osterley House.... The soon to be re-opened Musical Museum near the Brentford Steam Museum. Hounslow Heath, Donkey Wood, venture if you dare.... John, (who has to confess, I live somewhere in Hounslow Borough!)The Wild West! |
Fantastic stuff Mr Geezer, the Kempton Engines look great. How many times have I driven on the flyover past that impressive building and not thought what treasures lay inside? Now I might even have to go and look for myself one day! |
Love the look of those great steamy engines, I shall have to visit next year. I saw those Kent & Sussex guys at a Country Show recently with all their little engines. They do a good job of reminding us of great Victorian engineering when steam was king. |
Love the shopping parade,DG and the 081 reference. A hairdressers in Chatsworth Rd,E5 still sports a c.1968 AMHurst phone number number, and an ELMbridge no. graced a shop in Tolworth Broadway,KT6 (a must-do when you visit the Royal Borough) a few years ago at least. Any advance? |
