Geezer power!
Slightly tangentially...

How about fixing the junction on the end of Campbell Road which is quite dangerous to vehicles and cyclists turning right into Bow Road which run the gauntlet of cars pulling out the garage without any traffic light control.
It might interest you that the control systems for UK lights will NOT allow the lights to change if they sense cars approaching over the speed limit.
On the one hand, I can see the sense in that but on the other, it rewards lawlessness.
I was mildly shocked when I was first told.
I don't believe this is the case for traffic lights at vehicle only junctions BTW.
Have you planned how to use the reclaimed eight hours in your life, DG?
@Mike Chalkley

Maybe this is done with emergency service vehicles in mind?
The theory that DG has influence might not be totally unfounded...
"It might interest you that the control systems for UK lights will NOT allow the lights to change if they sense cars approaching over the speed limit". Is.....not true. Signals operate on fixed time plans, are vehicle or pedestrian activated or operate to average out delays, including operating green waves using systems such as SCOOT control which were added to signals in the area of the Olympic Park before Games-time. In some cases, additional stages can be called by manual intervention(e.g. at Euston fire station). Signals do not sense the speed of approaching traffic. IRDs only sense the presence of waiting traffic.
