Re: Walford East, it has taken Bromley-By-Bow's place on the diagrams outside the station set for several years, but in fact used to sit between Upney and Dagenham Heathway. I was living at Becontree at the time so was quite excited when I noticed this, but presumably others noticed too and they changed to somewhere actually in the East End rather than the east London suburbs (which is fair enough really, given the name of the show!)

By the looks of CS1 near me, I think that intermittent strip is the best you're going to get, it's ridiculous that pretty much anything else on the road gets prioroty over the blue strip, so it stops and starts, and sometimes when the road gets narrow, turns from a strip to a little block right in the middle of the road, effectively saying that there is no cycle lane (but that you're heading in the right direction). Some of the sections around Clapham South are ridiculous, and that's just the section I know

Out of curiosity, DG, what would it take to get you to cycle in London? Are you opposed to it on principle, or is there some combination of cycle tracks or paths that would tempt you onto two wheels?

Maybe he just doesn't like cycling? Is that a permitted option 'disgruntled'?

As someone on DD has pointed out - they used an interior of a District Line train before, and don't they also quite regularly (or at least once before) CGI in a District Stock rolling across the bridge in the background in a shot in EastEnders?

Also haven't watched it for years - except for that clip just now. Cat has not aged well, wow.

@Max - of course it is, I was just genuinely curious.

I'm so uncoordinated, cyclewise, that sticking me on a bike would seriously reduce my life expectancy. Therefore I avoid it.

Ive got a spare bike in the shed, and as a very near neighbour I would be happy to accompany you on a bike ride along "The Greenway" I could teach you how to avoid colliding with all those pedestrians with cameras who wander along there taking photos of our new local stadium.
