You are beginning to understand where we are coming from.

I'm afraid not.

Current Radio 2 playlist sadly proves my point, featuring as it does the following:
Atomic Kitten, Blue (featuring Elton John), Enrique Iglesias, Ronan Keating (featuring Lulu), Liberty X, One True Voice, S Club, Sugababes, Holly Valance and Westlife.

Not even the Radio 1 playlist stoops that low.

I am concerned. There are only 31 tracks on that playlist. Is that it? Other than the regular good-music features, such as those on Steve Wright and Drive Time, do they really only have this many tracks on their playslist every week?

However, the tracks that you haven't mentioned do include Bruce, The Rolling Stones, Jools Holland, George Harrison, Santana and Elton John.

Guess I'll be listening to Magic FM a lot this week. Or not driving around much.

Most of the music played on Radios 1 and 2 comes from the playlist, but producers do get to choose some other songs to play inbetween.

I didn't mention the other tracks you listed because they seem to be more genuinely Radio 2 material. And you didn't mention the thrilling Gordon Haskell...

If I knew who Gordon Haskell was, I might have mentioned him. Any relation to Jilted John's Gordon?

Gordon is a Terry Wogan 'discovery' who managed a surprise number 2 hit last Christmas week, nearly dethroning Robbie Williams.

And he's probably older than all of One True Voice put together.
