I like football, but the Olympics made me wish there could be a longer break away from it. I don't really want to see Manchester United etc hogging all the headlines on the sports pages yet, it's nice seeing how someone's won a gold medal and the like.
That and Sky want more money, so there will be more 12:30 kickoffs (and probably a whole host more in the evenings) just so they can get more viewers and money. It's disappointing how football seems to depend on having the richest owners, especially in the Premier League. |
