The existing 2 tph Heathrow Connect services go to T4, not T5, so there will be no change when they become TfL Rail. The 2 tph HC T4-T23 shuttle is also unchanged. Similarly, the free extension to T5 on HEx is also no different to the existing service.

Confusingly, the T4 station, currently served only by Heathrow Connect trains, is labelled "Heathrow Express". I wonder if that will change when they become TfL Rail services, and then Elizabeth Line?

The Heathrow Connect services currently actually go to T5 (although a few early morning/late eve ones go to T4).

Ah, when did that change? Last time I checked, all the HC services went to T4, and all the HEx to T5.

I assumed that HAL thought that well-heeled BA customers using T5 were more likely to shell out for pricey HEx tickets than the more downmarket T4 passengers.

What? Connect goes to T5?? Since when. Is it a direct service or a connecting service? And in which caee how comes TfL rail isn't going to T5 ??

Have checked the timetables. Connect trains DO NOT go direct to T5. Only express does. They go to 2&3 and then 4, but you can change at 2&3 for a shuttle 'Connect' service to 5. Unless someone would like to argue otherwise ...

So it seems that ...

Connect trains are advertising to run to 2&3 only. But have to go to 5 to turn around anyway, and officially 'empty' you can stay on and take a ride to 5.

A shuttle then runs between 2&3 and 4, logo'd as 'Express' and NOT 'Connect' !! But from next week that'll all be TfL Rail.
