Is there some sort of on-the-day ticket available which gets you past all the Stalinist security and allows you to wander around the park without having to see any of that awful sport stuff?

All-day tickets for the Olympics have been promised, sport-free, but probably only during the first week of the Games because they're worried about overcrowding in the second.

All-day tickets for the Paralympics have already been on sale, and will be again, and they're dead cheap.

And in the same vein, what's the likelihood of there being filler/reserve tickets? I seem to remember reading once that empty seats at venues (typically from the corporate/prizewinner crowd who haven't shown up for minor events) would be filled up by an additional 'turn up on the day' queue; especially important as empty seats are going to look hideous off the back of the ticket fiasco. Or do we think this has been long abandoned?

Shame they're closing the Lee Navigation footpath for the Olympics - it's a prime spot for blackberry-picking, and that's the perfect time for them too!

What a pile of **** (The Forman's website). I'm sure their Salmon is excellent, but their website for this Riveria tosh is full of *****. The 'TRAVEL GETTING HERE' section talks about Stratford Eurostar Terminal, er? They talk about a boat service from Tottenham, taking either 40 or 50 minutes (make your mind up, which is it?). Apparently one will be able to fly to Tottenham in one's helicopter and then take a boat to the fish factory. Maybe some will do this, but does sound a bit crazy. Also it's Stansted Airport not Stanstead, as any fule minicab operator know. Who writes this stuff? It wouldn't surprise me if someone had been paid to do it.

I've visited Foreman's gallery many times and on all occasions the security guard was welcoming. Indeed, on one occasion he persuaded me to come in and see the gallery when I'd planned to just walk past!

I've only been to Foreman's once, but had exactly the same experience with security...invited in by a sign but questioned about my business. Weird.

They had quite a bit of publicity behind them during their refusal to move.I'm glad they've done well .Sadly, they don't feel the need to have their excellent open days where the food samples were large, plentiful and quite tasty.

You should have lifted the "Ex" on the sign at the junction PML and MGL to see that it was actually spelt "accept", so I had to make a bit of a cover up on that one.
And your photo of the Greenway could have been done a day or so later to get my standard "Olympic Park/...closed HERE (date)/Helpline...." sign in the frame!
