Wow, there's definitely a blood red glow to the light outside.
Ah no, that's just nextdoor's security lights.
The western horizon is really difficult to see from this end of Bow Road, but maybe if I walk up the street all will become clearer.
No, nothing, not even a blur through the clouds.
Very much hoping that the cloud cover clears, or grows patchy, before the end of the total phase.
Still no luck spotting it?

Went round the block and nout :(
1999 all over again. Zut alors.
Alas, not even the tiniest glimpse of anything blood, super or wolf.

If nothing else, at least Londoners waking up later won't feel like they missed anything.
Well, being an hour ahead was a help, as was there not being a cloud in the sky.

Our Brussels street runs W - E so the dog walk this very cold morning was I would technically describe as 'sort of' red but increasingly illuminated by a large moon just beginning to reverse out of the full eclipse.

Cool to see as usually I have duff weather luck with these things.
Why oh why has no one managed to monetise this natural phenomenon with some apt and lucrative sponsorship? Terry's full blood chocolate orange super moon anyone?
Cloud. The bane of the observational astronomer. But the clouds were a bit orange-ish.

Lunar eclipses are amazing enough already, without all of this ludicrous rebranding.
No detectable trace of a moon behind the clouds where I live.
12.45am - beautifully clear, cold and frosty, bright white full moon, casting clear shadows.
3.15am - still clear, going cloudy, moonlight still white, but less bright.
4.45am - cloud cover. Moon not visible. Bugger. Grey not red.
5.45am - even cloudier. Moon not visible. Light still grey.

Non-event of the year here.
The thinning cloud is at least giving London N4 a rosy sunrise, but it's small consolation.
Every cloud has it's silver lining..... at least there was a vintage episode of George and Mildred (George loses Truffles the dog) on ITV3 at 5.30am for any disappointed eclipse watchers.

The reason it is known as a super blood wolf moon is because if a science journalist mentions to a news editor that there is a lunar eclipse, that get a 'Duh' and the story hits the spike, or its digital equivalent. If, however, it's a 'super blood wolf moon' and the news editor has no idea what any of those mean but thinks they sound good, it gets a "Wow' and is published.

If you do happen to be up at that sort of time this month and look the other way (i.e. east), that thing that is 'too bright to be a star and must be a plane' is actually Venus. And it's Jupiter near to it.
No,nothing to see here! Move along there please! 🌚🌚
Saw it in Dublin!
In Cheam:

3:47am - A small bite taken out of the moon from the left (got the photo)
5:30am - Totality, but grey red due to encroaching clouds (not distinguishable on photo)
5:31am - Nothing (I had woken up just in time!)
6:12am - Forget it (successful lie in planned...)
Was cloud-free and visible in SW20 (once I got out of the glare from the security lights). Castor and Pollux were also up nearby.
Good view of it from here in Uxbridge. Happened to wake at around 4.00 luckily.
I saw the Moon when I got up for a while at 3am, and thought all would be well. But at 5.10am there was just cloud, or greyness, and no hint of red.. That was in lovely Woodford.
Nothing at all to see from Dagenham.
As I had nothing better to do, I got up early. Saw the SBWM at 06:30 local time, sky clear of clouds. After about 40 minutes the cold began to bite, so back to bed.
Just woken up and looked at the photos I took.
Must have been lucky here in Kent because it was completely cloudless with the grass crunchy because of the hard frost. I'm glad I saw it but TBH it was slightly underwhelming: the moon looked quite small because it wasn't near the horizon, and it just looked dull as though it was behind cloud or smoke.

The partial eclipses and the fully illuminated moon in all its glory were much more spectacular.
just as well I didn't bother getting up then
I woke at 5.37 and thought "Shall I?"
My bed was warm and snuggly so I didn't!

Figured the orientation of my house was not conducive to see it from indoors and I wan't about to go outside.
Easily visible at 5am in Chessington KT9. Clouded over by about 0530
or is it "fake news" and the Chinese lander did something to the Moon?! where are the conspiracy theorists when you need them?
South Norwood. About 5.15am my son woke me up, we looked out the window, moon very clear, bottom half reddish, didn't look much larger than normal. I marvelled at it for about five minutes then went back to bed.
I was up in time yesterday, but nothing to see in Nottingham. It was so much easier leaving the house this morning with a brilliant full moon to illuminate the keyhole.

Those who call it a blood moon must be either severely anaemic, or thinking of the skin (not the flesh) of a blood orange.
In other astronomical news, the conjunction of Venus and Jupiter in the morning sky is impressive - both clearly visible until around sunrise, and perhaps even for a while afterwards.
