Margate? I reckon the "not any more" will take you to one of England's decaying seaside towns |
I concur. So at the moment you're at Charing Cross? |
Over 2 hours? Poole? |
Or, as you mention "and beyond", Great Yarmouth via Norwich? |
Um, depends which London station you are starting off from! |
Perhaps somewhere truly obscure - Matlock Bath?! |
Bognor? |
Southend? Does it actually take 2 hours to get there? |
Ramsgate? You did say end of the line. |
Hastings? |
Aylesbury or Bicester |
The Grotto in Margate? |
Cool, like this idea! Popular tourist spot? Can't be waiting at Liverpool Street then for a train to Cheshunt then! |
I'm a new reader, so hello! Can't quite remember how I got here...a series of links form other peoples blogs, I imagine...anyway, just wanted to say I totally love this idea and would probably do something similar myself, had my faith in National Rail not have been whittled down to almost non-existing over the years of being forced to use their disgraceful service! You're very brave, you could have been stuck in town Y (which sounds like almost every town I've been to on the south coast, by the way) for a very long time! Hurrah you weren't |
My line manager commutes from your destination every day, it means she has to get up at 4.30. |
2 hours? the fun of the complicated railways of Kent! |
