This does go to show that the world needs (at least) two sorts of people. We need the visionaries, who can launch big ideas with a wave of the hand, and leave the details to others.

But oh how much more do we need the "details" people - and this post shows how much of a one DG is.
As I've pointed out before, this zone 2/3 situation still isn't reflected on the other stations in a similar situation on the Tube map - North Acton, Willesden Junction, Hampstead, Archway, Manor House, Lewisham DLR, Clapham South, East Putney and Turnham Green are all Zone 2/3 boundary stations on the Tube map (there are more if you include the NR map too).
All these stations still have the white box around the name to show they're on the boundary.
So I think we should have consistency here with the Tube map and car line diagrams depicting this 'new' zone in its entirety.

Oh and what about those stations on the boundary of zones 1/2, 3/4, 4/5, 5/6 etc? Could get messy!
Most of the Underground trains I take these days have inaccurate line maps.
Both new and old District trains are confused by changes like Cannon Street. It may have been open Sundays and late evenings since December 2014 but plenty of the maps don't say that. In fact on some S Stock trains one map is right but the map next to it is wrong!
@Rob
Showing the boundary running through the station works when only one station on the line is in both zones. What is new here is that two or more consecutive stations on the same line are in the same two zones.
Timbo. Not sure that's true. All the stations between Cutty Sark and Lewisham (DLR) are z2/3 and have been for years. So the consecutive station thing isn't new.

@Island Dweller
DG said what I meant to say!

The DLR (and Overground) do not have line-specific maps so their zones have always been shown as areas rather than segments of a line. What is new is that the simpler form that has so far worked on the line-specific Tube maps is no longer practical in the Stratford area. In the other examples mentioned by Rob, if it ain't broke............
@Malcolm

I agree that the world "needs" details people. But most people don't care that much, won't pay for it, and don't appreciate it even when someone does pay for it.

In my job I've never impressed anyone by getting the details correct, but I have impressed people by getting something "good enough" out quickly, no matter how offensive the lack of precision and detail is to me.
