Excellent! I had the whole thing playing out in my head like a scene from some dark, smoky office in Fleet St ca 1947!! Perfectly captured.

I'm a big fan of the varied content and styles of this blog - some are more satirical playing with the standard social media output, some feel more like Bill Bryson with exquisite detail on minutiae (eg the times described on a park bench, or visiting arbitrary places due to a random distance/ puzzle/ leadership election), some are the carefully researched news articles, and others appear to have been written by alter egos to interesting effect. I enjoy the little known factoids and the details from off the beaten track. I'm normally one to sit the shadows and quietly read the content, but wanted to say thank you DG! I hope you enjoy writing these as we enjoy reading them
