Never been prouder of London!
Was surprised to hear Sutton on the list. Perhaps I know even less about Sutton than I thought.
Thanks DG for posting this map. Can anyone explain why there is such a large difference between say Havering at 70% in favour of leaving and Hackney at 22%? After all they are only a short distance apart. Out here in the shires one would have to drive 10s of miles for a small % change.
R - the map shows an area containing 8 million people. Out in the shires, the population of East Anglia doesn't even reach 6 million.
The population of the whole of Scotland doesn't even reach 8 million.
Havering (along with the rest of Essex) is where all the white people moved to, so they could get away from foreigners moving into the East End - think how many white people go to West Ham matches compared with the population you normally see outside the ground.

Anyway, bring on LIP - London Independence Party, make it a city state like Singapore.
Yes, and Hillingdon is, of course, Boris' constituency, so no surprises there.
What is interesting is the further you move out of central London, the closer, generally, the vote becomes!
LIP. Sign me up. Seriously.
LIP? Ha Ha Ha Ha
Bye bye Britain... we're not sure we will miss you!
But I hope we will say 'Welcome back' to our brothers and sisters from Scotland real soon. And maybe even to you Londoners.
Until then - good luck.
I think reversing the colours on the map would have summed up the real situation better.

Now I know why I always shudder when I pass through Romford or Bexley..
@Lorenzo

One reason for Sutton voting 54% to leave is Sutton's recent Local Plan proposals. The pressure by the Government and by the London Mayor to build houses to cope with the UK's rapidly increasing population resulted in proposals to build on the Green Belt, on Metropolitan Open Land, on public open spaces, on playing fields, on recreation grounds and on allotments.

There has been a huge number of objections. Sutton is a small, 'green', borough and people don't want to see it's green spaces lost because of 'too many people'.

The referendum offered an extra way to do something about it.
@ RayL; meanwhile Sutton is pressurising older inhabitants of their council housing to move out of London, giving them a choice of council accommodation elsewhere. this is to make space for younger people to live, but seems intrusive.
Is the title of this map "Vote to leave London", or "Vote to Leave, London"?
Are we going to get the ward results?
