The Olympic Park looks a lot nicer than when I visted it on those cold and wet days of the test event.

Wow. It all looks so British with the meadows and the wild flowers. Very impressed. Might have to get some Paralympic tickets...

I was at women's basketball as well yesterday! But in the evening
A few thoughts
The Javelin train was fast and uncrowded, but Stratford International is a bit underbuilt (why no down escalators as it's a long walk down?) and the walk from there to the entrance through part of the shoppping centre lacks a bit of grandeur!
Security was fast and friendly, indeed all the staff were friendly.
As stated by DG before, the park is massive, is your event is down one end, don't arrive at the entrance 5 minutes before the start!
It is enjoyable to mooch around the park
I found several water fountains, there are more than I expected so you don't HAVE to buy liquids
If you haven't bought tickets, try and get something in the park as there are a small number of tickets available, as it's well worth it, even if it's not your normal sport

Lovely photos - nice that the weather played ball as it were, the blue skies certainly enhance the english suumer meadow effect round the park. Going on Thursday, looking forward to it...

Good photos DG. As I have grabbed a last minute ticket for some basketball I shall see for myself in a few days time. The park does look amazing with all the flowers. Quite a change from my previous two trips round the park during construction.
