Well DG looks like you had great day out, steam engines, railways, and summer weather, it's heaven.
Oh dear! I don't think that the link to the fascinating Sierra Leone Railway collection should yet see the light of day. It's clearly a 'work in progress' website, which shouldn't yet be in the public domain.

But, when it is complete, it will, indeed be a fascinating story.
Cool pix. Thanks DG!
FYI, those transformer coil fountains are actually made from bushings. But a creative re-use of them all the same...
What a fantastic event! Mind-boggling in its variety.
The first link comes up with this blog's address attached to it, so doesn't work. I went to www.fawleyhill.co.uk and was very glad I did. The website is brimming over with enthusiasm!

dg writes: Sorry, the link's fixed now.
Note from Pedant's Corner: the owner is Sir William McAlpine and his wife is Lady McAlpine. It's not correct to call him Lord McAlpine nor, indeed, to call his wife Lady Judy.
Charles, thanks for clearing that up. I was puzzled.
Whoops! The site for Sierra Leone went live before it should have done. Thanks. I'd better get that one sorted out pronto. We didn't expect to be featured in this hallowed tome, or indeed any other, so soon!
