If UK-France trains ever stop at Stratford International, and if sterling remains weak against the Euro maybe the French will come shopping in the new Westfields Mall similar to how some Brits (me) used to go on shopping trips to the large shopping centre next to Lille station.

Interesting to see the progress to date. I get a thrill everytime I get the DLR from Stratford and see the stadium rising ever higher in the background.

But, a slight quibble with that opening paragraph... I am neither a visiting dignitary, nor do I work on the site, nor am I a London blogger, but I have had the opportunity to go on a tour, thanks to the tours put on for residents of the Olympic boroughs. And I'm grateful for the opportunity, because I do wonder how mere local residents would be able to see this monumental development come into being for themselves otherwise ...
