I live near the 56's northern terminus and have noticed a recent upward trend in the number of tiny dogs being walked.
“cycle-lane-less stretch of Lea Bridge Road“. Otherwise known as “the part of Lea Bridge Road in Hackney”.

It’s shocking how often good cycle infrastructure terminates at a borough border (even a border with a relatively enlightened borough, like Hackney).

Good to hear this one is being rectified.
The dog might have been accompanied, but I had a cat that regularly had to be turfed of buses before they departed the stop near our house. I suspect that he may occasionaly have gone a stop or two before being ejected.
You are about 9 months behind me, it seems. Happy forthcoming birthday!

Steve
I can't promise incidents en route to Kingston, but the number 57 should at least promise some Variety.
Hopefully that extended cycle infrastructure is properly signed off as fit for purpose. The lay on the existing Lea Bridge Road bicycle tarmac is rippled on both sides of the road. Looks great in the council 'greening' literature, but is a blinking nightmare to cycle along if your tyres are properly inflated.
The 57 is one of my favourites.
The 57 goes through my old neck of the woods. Colliers Wood in fact looking forward to hearing about your journey through Tooting etal
