So one of the 80 that you follow is your new blog account. Who did you bump to make room for that? :-)

I think there was a Paul McCartney (or was it John Lennon?) quote about the Beatles which applies to Twitter, something about it being simple when we started, then it got complicated.
Both of my accounts are following both of your accounts!
Think I'll just stick to opening a browser on my laptop just before leaving the house each morning rather than following @diamondgeezerblog, but good luck with it. And I'll follow @diamondgeezer for the other stuff.
Don't like Twitter.
Never really understood the point of Twitter and certainly can't be bothered to set myself up on it! Life is far too short for all that nonsense!
But checking to see if you've posted anything on yours after reading on here, is still part of my daily routine!
How would I find our what number Twitter user I am, think I've been on there just under 10 years

dg writes: www.idfromuser.com might work.
(or it might not).

good grief, my Twitter ID is 3,005,963,464 ... so that means 3,006,000,000 people joined between you and me ... that number is very hard to conceptualise
www.idfromuser.com didn't work for me but being curious I found something that did.

http://mytwitterid.com/

I'm three years and 20 million behind you.
The Twitter ID for @diamondgzrblog is 804403268445212672.

But @diamondgzrblog is clearly not the 804403268445212672nd Twitter account
(because 804403268445212672 is the population of one hundred million Earths).
I'd suggest the account retweets itself daily somewhere around noon.. in time to catch people having their lunch.

That'll capture quite a lot more people who, by the nature of the account, opt-in and want the notification
I feel honoured to be part of that select group of 80! I think I might be one of the 8 with whom you have at some point shared a room, but if not I hope I'm one of the 10 you'd really like to meet!

And I'm intrigued to know which group Anneka Rice is in.
(thrilled that you follow me)

(thanks)

(*hugs*)
Ok I have only had my current Twitter for 5 years, I had one before but I don't remember any of the Log on details, my Twitter number therefore is in the 9 figures bracket
So you beat me on Twitter by three months. And one year.

But like you, I too keep my Twitter followers low. I'm currently on 88, a number boosted by the fact I follow many accounts that haven't tweeeted for some time, but who are people I know and I don't have the heart to prune.

I don't understand people who can follow 300+ accounts. You miss out on so much by the virtue that you're just skimming.
