No kittens? Tsk!

The illustrations I have seen of the new wrap do not look very exiting. The old one was more colourful, this new one looks very plain. Maybe they will light it with colours at night.

People west of central London and also those well heeled residents of Surrey will get a taste of the Olympics on Sunday 14th when a test run of some cycling event will pass through. Meaning several road closures, including Bushey Park.

As for Olympic Parking restrictions, Westminster Council has done far worse by deciding to enforce parking restrictions 7 days a week until midnight. I expect many West End shops and restaurants to close when people find that they cannot park for free on Sundays or evenings, and a it won't be good for London Theatres.

Worth the subscription for this post alone. Pitch perfect.

I know - you could publish a forward look for the next six months, setting out which days you'll be blogging about what. That way, all the people who don't like the Olympic stuff could avoid logging in on those days, and the Random Borough enthusiasts would know when they'd get their fix. And the kitten people would know, err, that they probably ought to go somewhere else...

What 100 days of blogs and 'No Kittens', I think my human rights have been violated.

No Kittens and 1/5 posts about the Boring as Batshit Olympics .... I rest my case.

And before anyone gets wadded re the kittens reference, just remember WE didn't raise the topic.

Have not seen/heard usage of the word "Wazzocks" in a looong time. Excellent!

Debster I note, fails to comment on your blog anymore. Not enough Kittens, clearly.

Can you not sneak some kittens into an Olympic blog post? Just to keep us happy?

In a spirit of unprecedented generosity you omitted to name the products for which the American chemical giant sponsoring The Wrap is most infamous. Also, of course, they will have to remove their name before the actual Olympics. This will be interesting.

And another thing, what about the bloody statistics about visitors to the DG blog? Sheesh, you'd think that'd be the first piece of data.....moan moan etc.

`BRAVO`

Will you please put us out of our olympics misery and tell us which events you actually succeeded in getting tickets for? Or did I skirt over a previous olympics post and miss that detail?

At least 30% of the posts are about transport, which as a commuter is something I can relate with.

Hosting the Olympic Games is a major event. Being from the "Colonies" I have to plan my visit to London AROUND the Olympics. Maybe I'll go to Edinburgh and York instead.

Question: Is hosting the Olympic Games good or bad? An ego trip, yes. A financial bust? Time will tell.

I hope the geezer keeps us informed.

Excellent - made me chuckle.

No mention of the Mystery Count either

Well, you can always go back to DG's archive. Random boroughs, lost rivers and LOTS OF PHOTOS!!!

No kittens though.

Very amusing - I laughed out aloud - a tonic!

I don't think I've ever seen a post about kittens, can someone post a link please?
