TK Mazx?

Since 1996 the Isle of Man has had its own internet top-level domain (.im). Why doesn't the Manx Electric Railway Co use that now, rather than the incorrect .uk? In fact, are there many local users of .im, rather than instant messaging services?

It'll be interesting to see what happens with the just-announced .scot !
Did that cruise liner in Douglas Bay have masts and yards? Do some cruise liners now sail as well as 'steam'? And how many extra crew do they carry in consequence?
I love that King William's College quiz. "Nigh impossible" as you say, DG. My enjoyment comes from reading the questions.
Are there many local businesses in Tuvalu using .tv, rather than television-related businesses?
DG, No mention of Peel on the West coast of the Island? It's a lovely place. Nice harbour, promenade and castle. This is also where the kippers are smoked.
You went on the electric railway but didn't see the mercury arc rectifier?
A little dismissive of the yacht Peggy? She is a very rare survivor housed in her original boathouse which is of possibly unique design. And she also carries yacht-sized cannon!
Karen, I think the Mercury Arc rectifiers, supplying DC power to the railway, were taken out of service last September. More modern equipment now being used.
I believe there are plans to have them on display somewhere else, but as museum pieces.
@ Bernie

I'm sure DG's visited Peel; I'm eagerly waiting tomorrows post. I'm hoping he sat somewhere in Peel and foregone the usual Beck’s and instead had a lovely pint of Okells! Why, he might even have taken the ferry across Peel harbour - but I don’t think they take Oyster cards yet (ha ha)!
Great memories of our honeymoon 40 years ago last week!

We flew from Birmingham, stayed in a small guest house just off the Prom in Douglas, went on the Electric Train to Ramsey (and up Snaefell), went on the Steam Train to Port Erin, went on the Horse Tram, caught the bus to Peel and, although the weather wasn't as good as DG is experiencing, went swimming in the sea on several days as well.

At the end of the week we caught the steamer across to Liverpool.

Thanks for the photos and narrative.
John (and Jean).
Happy Harry, you were right!
