Reminds me of how in 1951 they tried to make Hungerford Rail and footbridge less conspicuous during the festival of Britain with lots of brightly colours bits of arwork.
I still see them in my mind when I'm in that area.

More than concealing an ugly building, this metal structure serves a purpose in reminding me how much more beautiful real grown trees are.

I think they might have been built there to disguise sophisticated security cameras to track dg's every move.

Well, I guess its a nice perch for the pigeons and gulls.

I quite like it (from the links in the post), but if it's supposed to represent a leafy avenue instead of fish, why is it called The Shoal?!

This could happen:

@ Joachim.

You could not be more right!
Rather than real trees let's have strange metallic structures?

I am not sure what to make of Stratford, a place that will end up split between young people in new flats detached from the area, and an established less affluent community. Although I suppose this is quite common now in East London and inevitable given the high prices in the capital as people move into well connected affordable locations.

Driving into Stratford seems to resemble Croydon more and more to me, in some ways this investment makes it less appealing rather than more...
