This is a building that I have seen many times from the M25 and knew nothing about so thank you so much for this post and I shall without doubt be booking a tour.

The dedicated volunteers are doing an absolutely magnificent job bringing Copped Hall back to life from the ruin that it was. Interesting and a privilege to see the work in progress and we look forward to the seeing the end result. A great time to visit is on their Apple Day. A lovely day out.

I've run the Copped Hall 5 miles race in the past. Rather tough, but a splendid setting.

Jimmy - it's one syllable. According to the Wikipedia entry, the original Hall was named Copthall.

I must go when I'm in London next. Weirdly though this didn't sound like you. It was a bit disconcerting. Something about the writing.....Tell me I'm imagining it.
