You know what? I love music passionately and yet have never heard of these tracks. Weird.

And this morning's commuting soundtrack...

Shirley Bassey - Get This Party Started
Supergrass - Alright
Split Enz - Nobody Takes Me Seriously
Colorblind James Experience - Considering A Move To Memphis
Frasier Chorus - Anarchy In The UK
Jona Lewie - In The Kitchen At Parties
Undertones - Teenage Kicks
Depeche Mode - Enjoy The Silence

I'm a lot more old school. On the tube I like to listen to the likes of Led Zep or Pink Floyd, or maybe Strauss and Tchaikovsky.

Mostly good songs, DG, although not so sure about the M People. One I didn't recognise was Mark Brown?? I love Saint Etienne to the point I've even bought Sarah Cracknell solo albums and the "What Have You Done Today, Mervyn Day?" soundtrack (excellent BTW) but I've not heard this track? Any good??

dg writes: It's freshly-released, based on a Lloyds TSB tv advert, and I love it. I've linked to the video on YouTube, so you can decide for yourself.

"You with your plastered hand poised on the door, you in a hurry to get out? Ha, you won't beat me. I'm tenth off the platform, but third up the passageway, and first up the escalator."

.... and I thought I was the only one who delights in this behaviour!

Where have all your comments gone? Your post about being first up the escalator reminded me of something I'd read previously elsewhere... which turned out to be your blog post from March 2007. Whilst I was there I noticed that no-one had commented on anything that week, or more worryingly, that month. Where do your comments go?

dg writes: On old monthly archives, Haloscan only gives comment totals for the top 20-or-so posts on a page. But all the comments are still there, even if the number of comments says (0).

I preferred this mornings...

Do we get the homeward version?

Aha! Looks like you got lucky with my all time favourite song during the morning commute
