Glad you had a nice Christmas. I wonder if the Queens Speech found room on screen in between the Xbox fare.
The same pantomime at two venues.
Well the Theatre Royal is a full time purpose built theatre, whilst Kings Lynn is a multipurpose venue. I would opt for the Theatre Royal, but as I'm in London I won't be going anyway.
However, I have a friend who lives in London who is getting a coach tomorrow just to go and see the pantomime at the Bristol Hippodrome, Barbara Windsor is in that one.

Ah! Good to have a weather update. Am heading for Norfolk myself but not till New Years Day. Trying to find a hotel open somewhere near Hickling and at a reasonable price. Looks like it's £50 in Wroxham. Anyway. Glad Christmas went well. Everyone seems to have got, or been playing, Guitar Hero. I seem to have avoided it.

Happy New Year DG, and thanks for entertaining me for another year :)

Sounds like the Norfolk I remember from visiting my Grandma somewhere between Swaffham and Watton as a child/adolescent. Though never at Christmas, New Year in Norfolk (brrr, Norfolk's always cold at New Year) Christmas was spent in East Ham with my Nana and the huge East End family. Much warmer!
Thanks for your blog DG, reading it always starts off my day with something interesting and informative to think about.

It sounds as if you have been having a really exciting time - by Norfolk standards of course.

But you have missed out on Thursford??? There's nothing to compare with that, not even in the West End. Surely you have been there in the past?

HNY, DG. You brighten all our lives, even from the depths of nowhere.

There weren't any trains anywhere (except maybe the airport Expresses) on Boxing Day because the rail workers/unions and infrastructure/operating companies alike have a cozy conspiracy of being too lazy and greedy to provide any. Norfolk need not feel victimised.
