I too visited these three excellent museums on one of my favourite days out last year.
All are excellent in their individual ways. However, visiting on a quiet midweek lunchtime, I found the over-enthusiastic personal shadow/guide at the CMM distracting, and meant I spent much less time there than I would have if left to mooch unattended. |

With the last paragraph I'm left wondering if the need to faff about with a torch is the reason - by the sound of things its a member of staff/volunteer who has to go with whoever needs to see the exhibit, so its probably a bit socially awkward depending on the reaction to the work.

You should have popped into Fargo Village. Foodie, scooter shop, and a brewery with tap room. Worth the trip to Coventry alone.
