So did I.

And that's all I can tell you too.
Oh, you tease.
as a volunteer who has worked hard for the last four months (mostly in rain) thank you for not sharing... it is an amazing experience to be part of and one that all should be proud...

btw - that was only the first half!!!
Me too. Glad it did not rain.Took me a while to get back to the Jubilee line when the show finished, and no Central Line at Stratford.
I heard the fireworks at 12.30pm last night in Chingford with the windows closed!
Did you leave before the end then?

(cf your twitter feed)
DG, are you one of the performers?
I was there last night and I agree too. Wow!
Hopefully this will blow the cobwebs away of the negative pre games publicity.
Granted there are still some issues that may rankle such as certain sponsors but that is separate from the creativity on show last night.

I saw someone in the Olympic park wearing a diamond geezer tee shirt, wasn't you was it?
I was a bit disappointed that McDonald's was shut!, but I had a nice roast beef sandwich instead. Paid for with Visa!
The gardens around the park are nice.
I found the seats in the stadium had enough leg room and the 3 hours or so sitting there went by without any discomfort.
It was a warm sunny evening, it might seem a lot different in cool rain.
diamond geezer tee shirt? how do we get those?
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for coming - having people in the stadium makes a huge difference. After 150+ hours of rehearsals it is nice that us volunteers have three opportunities to perform to an audience.
'Double decker bus does push-ups' has to be in the show, surely? It has the right blend of humour, Britishness and sport.
I was also there and must admit that it exceeded all my expectations, it made me proud to be British, and I have resisted the urge to post any photos, suprises are always nicer.
Me too, and ditto.

I had a lump in my throat several times last night.

By jove I think he's (Boyle) done it.

Shhhhhh

CF
The bus is in Islington so I'll shut up.

Me too.

It's amazing.
I'm going tomorrow night. Can't wait!

The food prices don't seem desperately high, for London. But I predict McDonalds will be busy!

As a Gamesmaker volunteer I will keep my lips tightly sealed until after the actual event.
A diamond geezer tee-shirt by Nike?
I was there. Brilliant show with great British cultural references. Where was Stephenson's Rocket?
I was there too - absolutely splendid!

(And I too saw a chap in a DG t-shirt - I did wonder at the time.)
The Rainhill Triails were subject to a work-to-rule by the RMT and ASLEF who objected to the BLATANT introduction of commercial competition into the rail industry which would only serve to drive down the pay of the underclasses, threaten the health and safety of every worker and passenger and result in illegal contract price fixing as potential bidders strove to drive down costs.
Fortunately at the beginning of the railways there was no namby-pamby health and safety legislation to make sure that passengers didn't step onto the track, as was their right.

The MP William Huskisson probably agreed at the time, but he might have changed his mind after his accident in 1830 - he only lived for a few hours after Rocket ran over him.
Ooh I wondered if you'd be there! How did you find oput about it/get in?
Diamond Geezer T-Shirts by Primark in Purple
DG T-Shirts were also in ASDA a while back. I did suggest that he bought one :)
