All this artwork reminds me of Tony Hancock's Aphrodite at the Waterhole.
Did the slice of Robin Hood Gardens smell of piss? If not, it does not give an authentic experience of it.
...all this in one day?!
Where are all the great artists; how much longer do I have to put up with dull, lazy, pretentious tripe being paraded as art?
I once had the opportunity to watch, up-close, as a group of Tibetan monks worked on a mandala made from plain old sand with some colour added. It was extraordinarily beautiful. The finished work would later be scattered to the four winds. Hirst’s mandala, OTOH, is a crime against mother nature.
15 exhibitions in a day is a most impressive tally. I would be interested to hear if, after visiting so many during the time that you have had the Art Pass, whether on reflection, there was an appreciable difference in quality or visit-satisfaction levels of the freebies vs. the paid-for.
