Thanks for this. Have just looked at your 2017 post on canals, and as it seems to be closed to comments, can I ask you here ? ... did the walk down below Spaghetti Junction feel safe? Have been reticent about doing what looks to be an interesting walk.

How can one person tell another what 'feels' safe, when feeling is by definition subjective? From boating under it, I can say that I've been places that felt less 'safe' to me... but that's really no help to you when you don't know how nervous/suspicious I am (not very) nor how big/strong/fast (not very).

I walked the canals under Spaghetti Junction on a bank holiday last year. I didn’t feel unsafe although it does feel a bit remote, in a strange sort of way.
