(and nothing to worry about)
Are we going to play "Guess DG's Problem"?

I'd guess a dodgy knee.
There are probably more tactful games to play.
Yeah, sorry for suggesting it, but I know that apart from everybody comparing their experiences at the various outpatient departments the over riding theme of the comments will be trying to work out what you went for.
On an obliquely similar note, my GP has just moved to a telephone-based consultation system – where you ring and log your name, the Doctor calls you back, then the Doctor dispenses drugs based on the telephone call. I have had an eye infection for a couple of weeks, getting steadily worse. On my third phone consultation the Doctor asked me ‘what does it look like?’ I politely suggested he saw it for himself and got a cherished appointment!
All too familiar from my experiences in Outpatients several years ago. These things don't change.
Things can only get better. (?)

Maybe not with the current 'head' of the NHS in charge though, as the media were keen to highlight yesterday.
Good luck with whatever it is DG, and hope it isn't causing you too many niggles.
Yep, you have as much chance of winning a proper medical assessment as the ball with your favourite number popping out the slot at your local Bingo hall.
Next appointment in a years time?
I`m happy to guess it`s not too serious.
I do hope it's nothing that will cause much worry. Best wishes.
Not gender reassignment, then? If one day that little Jack of Diamonds icon becomes a Queen of Diamonds.... :0)
Surely you took the February count in. Proof of drinking levels and exercise. Dead pan it and imply the last guy you saw made you count it.
Only read this today having been off yesterday for an appointment at St. Thomas'. Same bloody experience as you.

Some minor differences though, a two hour wait for me. Oh, and this about my heart condition which has required two operations so far.

The guy had obviously not read my notes as he a) didn't know I had a quintuple bypass three years ago and b) hadn't had the two subsequent ops.

He decided I ought to see the doctor my appoint was with so another appointment is being set up.

I waited four months for this appointment. Otherwise the whole thing was an entire success.....
