12: how enigmatic
25: I've never quite got my head round the English tradition of having Christmas lunch so early that you're done by the time Her Maj is on TV. We started at 2pm this year, and that was early - usually with my family we're sitting down to eat around 3 and are still at the table in the early evening, perhaps with some breaks to play with new toys.
13. Would you be falling for Project Fear that so many have been accusing 'Remoaners' of pushing ? The same people who seem to have melted away to silent obscurity I note. I think we have had enough of experts.
11 - "Improved" may relate to security, rather than customer convenience. The two alas seldom go hand in hand.
Advance Happy New Year greetings.
5. There are bins to recycle plastic bags at larger branches of supermarkets. Whether they actually get recycled is unknown but even my household recycling bin probably goes to landfill.
26: Is that January 2018, or an advanced January 2019?
1 - <pedantic error> surely
12 - sounds like good news - does this relate to a planning application by any chance
25 - Church in the morning - main meal not till 6pm which was very traditional- Peking duck with homemade pancakes followed by a Belgian chocolate log!
1 - Is it in the top 10 yet?
5. I would say all the damage was done in their manufacturing.

13. Stocking up here. If the doom and gloom contingent are wrong, I won't have to shop again for ages!

16. Still using the little fold-up scissors I got from a cracker back in the late 80s / early 90s! Excellent for keeping in pockets.

18. Found it surprisingly easy for once, to find a card for eldest child's birthday this weekend!

21.Forgot the pigs in blankets in the freezer, so cooked them for tea instead!

22. Full Moon followed the New Sun - the first sunrise after the Solstice. Both were gorgeous.

25. [Cooking] [Lunch] [Presents] [Games] [Tea] [Games]

26. Boxing Day cinema trip thwarted as the film of choice was only being shown at 'Crack of Dawn' or 'Past my Bedtime'
12 - I was leaning towards a planning application, but if it's one of these 'its gonna happen - but not yet' demolition situations (as opposed to a refurbishment), then they'll be the inevitable run down.
Tue 25
[NO PRESENTS] [NO COOKING][BREAKFAST] [HIGHLIGHT ONLY ON NEWS 24...GOT THE MESSAGE: BREXIT=POTENTIAL CIVIL UNREST...ASK THE COMMONERS TOO KEEP THINGS PEACEFUL] [STREAMING OF COMEDY/MOVIE] [DINNER/TEA] [WATCH ANOTHER STREAMED MOVIE] [CRY MYSELF TO SLEEP]
20 - alien interloper indeed. The library opposite is almost certainly doomed to be removed soon, along with the Victorian shops along the High Road, to be replaced by something that will look more in keeping with the stadium in the TV pre-match footage. That development has nothing to do with Spurs of course.
1 - So this arises the question what picture is the most viewed?
20 -- many years ago my old high school's playing fields were behind the old White Hart Lane. Spurs tried to buy the field for a new stadium every year but the school kept raising the price so it never quite happened. Amazing to see it now!
3: There's a remarkably similar viewpoint at the top of the old ski slope on Uxbridge Common. Hole in the fence, dual carriageway close by, distant view of the Shard. Don't think you can see the Olympic Park, but there's Harrow church and RAF Northolt to compensate.
26: Why are tellies so big nowadays? Has everyone got bad eyesight? Trying to find a one for the bedroom and found 24" recommended as a small one! I'd been thinking around 16".
10. What happened to the BHS that sprawled between both shopping centres and thd High Street?
5. When I have more than enough plastic bags, I take them to the charity shop. They're always short of plastic bags and although they will end up in the bin anyway, at least they're used a bit more (meaning less acquisition - at least that's what I like to say to myself)
6. The lifts weren't officially working, although some residents report sneakily using them anyway (though the barriers in front of them can't be much help). Currently TfLRail is closed until 2 January but there is little optimism the lifts will be available come then.
