I got a special one too when I got confirmation that my birthday next week puts me over the official age so I don't have to do Jury Service in April.
What a difference a day can make. I'm now too ancient to be trusted to make a sane decision.

Happy birthday DG. I had a birthday jab last month, and it was an opportunity to speak with rather more people than most days. I also chose to get to it by a rather long walk (for me at least). Other means of transport are available.

I had my jab on Saturday and can confirm that the NHS here in Moray were excellent too. Well organized, professional and caring.
Is it too political for here to suggest that only a 1% pay award is an insult after all they have been thru in the past year and are likely to have to endure for the foreseeable future?

Thanks again for your edit of the NHS leaflet. I did an extract to print and send on to an elderly contact without online access. I kept a copy and it makes me laugh again each time I read it. A classic.

Lockdown birthday’s, in theory, shouldn’t be as enjoyable as normal ones when you can go out However my friend organised a zoom dinner party for his wife’s birthday where everyone had been supplied with the same meal - and that went very well. For my partner’s birthday I contacted lots of her friends she hadn’t seen for a while and over the course of the day they phoned/ FaceTimed etc and she really enjoyed the day catching up - and for me the bonus was it saved a load of money on a fancy meal!!

Happy Birthday! I'm only 52 and here in the US that's much too young to get a vaccine......except I work for a company that makes parts for the military. So imagine my surprise when early last week I learned that we were eligible to get vaccinated right away. So I'm now one shot towards rejoining the much more relaxed, immunized people of the world. Add to that the news that the CDC just announced that fully vaccinated people can get together with fellow fully vaccinated people and my summer will no longer suck. Keep staying safe. Congrats on getting your first jab.
