Ah, surveymonkey only lets me have 40 responses, so I've had to switch the survey to Google Forms instead.
(if you did the SM version you'll need to submit again, sorry)
I would like to clarify my answer to Q6. I usually read DG in my rss-reader, Feedly, which can be on my computer or tablet (or phone even). When it's a longer piece that I want to read later I press the button that sends it to my 'longread'-app, Pocket. Then I will read it on my tablet at some point. I only ever visit the blogspot location if I want to leave a comment.
I’m a Feedly person too
I'd guess the majority will be male / 40-49 / England / often / 2014-2017 / computer / no
Since there are 3*7*5*4*5*3*2=12600 different combinations, it would be extremely surprising if a majority of readers fell into just one.
The last question options should be yes/no/not any more

I'm a "not any more"
Q6 really needs an "all of the above" option.
Is the "where do you live?" question deliberately provocative (or whimsical)? I live in England, the UK, Europe and the World but wasn't allowed to give multiple answers.
Got me in the mood; I'll carry on and do the census now.
Q7: Not yet.
Q5 is difficult, I can't remember a time before diamond geezer.
Slightly interesting behaviour. I tend to use Opera mobile browser on my phone, but the survey link popped up google chrome on my phone. I've not opened a google survey or doc on my phone before, so I wasn't expecting that.
I found the where do you live question wholly logical. Perhaps it could have said "choose the first that applies", but the implied Venn diagram is pretty straightforward.
Maybe the overall absence of "don't know/prefer not to say" could be criticised, but I rather like the stripped down, keep-it-simple approach. After all, answering it at all is completely optional.
Apparently you think you don't have (or don’t want) non binary readers.

my shoe size is 8
Clarifying questions 6 and 7.
Q6 I read your blog via feedly about equally on both my phone and computer. I did the survey from phone so I answered that.
Q7 Yes I have a blog, linked to this post. But I now more often do threads on Twitter that may on may not finally get converted to a blog post.
It was between 2013 and 2014 I found you. I decided to go with the former.
Just spent a happy half hour trolling through previous posts to see when I first commented - knowing a failsafe would either The Count, your birthday or Christmas/New Year - to figure out how long I've been visiting.

2009 - at least 2 years less than I thought!
I wouldn’t have asked those questions. I’d have asked different ones. :)
The bands in 2 assume quite a tailing-off after age 70. I expect to spend rather more of my time reading the future equivalent of this blog when I get past 80.

I'm glad the intro mentioned 2004 so I can guess at the year of my first visit without being told it was impossible!

3 was presumably intended to provoke a reaction, and for 6 I wanted a "whatever I have available at the time" option. Prefered device might have been interesting; I only use a phone if no other option is available.
I’m disappointed you aren’t interested in my sexuality or religion.
I would have been interested in your ethnicity data. Very white I imagine, but how white?
Firefox wouldn’t let me take the survey but Edge let me in.
I answered the Mailchimp one this morning, I’ve just answered the google docs one. Do I get a sticker?
Sprout Eater: I use Firefox and I had no trouble with the survey.

Shame there was no question about kittens
Good job I scrolled down to read yesterday's comments. I have again filled in your reader survey, because I want to be counted somewhere!
If your name doesn't appear on household bills and you don't have a driving licence for proof of identity, you don't exist. As for obtaining a passport..........😏
Disappointed that there isn't a Mystery Count.
Like Cornish Cockney I tried trawling through your old posts looking for my own comments. Either I discovered you much more recently than I remembered, or I commented less often than I thought, or you've been deleting my comments. Whichever it is, I can't give an answer to Q5, although I'm, fairly sure it was before the Olympics.
Guessed that it was less than 8 years ago when I started reading the blog then Timbo mentioned the Olympics so must have been before then.
My memory !!!
Not seeing anything provocative about Q3 myself, it's perfectly straightforward..., ever expanding circles, you pick the first one you fall in, the others go unsaid
I use Feedly to alert me to new posts on the blogs I follow, but I always go through to the original website, because I like to see the blogger’s presentation. And because I always look at the comments.
I'm upset that I can't find anything to object to in this survey. I demand to be outraged, it's 2021 after all!
1)option 3 is mischeivous, wrong, or hiding something which should be explained
3)London is in England which is in UK which is geographically in Europe which is in the world so the question is daft.
5)Can't remember
6)They are all computers

Even the Government couldn't get away with such a sloppy survey
Question 8: How many days late am I in my blog reading, resulting in missing the survey cutoff?

FWIW: 1. M, 2. 30s, 3. England, 4. each post, often belatedly, 5. 2011, 6. laptop, 7. no. And I rarely comment, so I feel slightly guilty at not contributing, although not living in London limits my local knowledge.
