Oh god, we’re fucked.
Even though I'd rather not think about it, we have to. Thanks for the summary.

The Corbyn odds would be very different, I think, if the question was not "Next Prime Minister" but "Prime Minister on 1 November". You'd also get good odds for Jo Swinson or Nigel Farage on such a basis.
What an appalling selection, God help you sort out this mess.
Thank you for a genuine belly-laugh, DG - 'Nemesis: dog whistle'.
Surely "Boris" should be in Johnson's middle name category?
Uber pedantic I know, but surely the first of Mr Johnson's middle names is Boris. First name on birth certificate (and what his family call him) is Alexander.
Though the middle names I'd give him would include mendacious delusional untrustworthy....
"Big red bus" - is that the one which had "£350 million" written on it, or the fleet which cost TfL £355 million?

The parliamentary majority figures are interesting - see who can least afford a general election.
Four of the candidates have more than one middle name. I've picked one of them.
Aaaaaaaghhhh.... Aaaaaaaaaaaghhhhhh.... Aaaaaaaaaaghhhhhhhhh!
Can we not have the leadership campaign in a "The Hunger Games" kind of format?

It would surely entertain about half the country in that case!
Oh so that's what he looks like.
Didn't realise Boris had such a small majority, surely he could be vulnerable next election?

Anyway, good luck UK, will be watching from behind the sofa.
We're Doomed!
Kevin - i was thinking exactly the same.

At the last election BJ got 50% and Labour got 40% (UKIP / Green / LDs all tiny).
If Brexit Party take a chunk of Tory vote, and a chunk of Tory remainers peel off to Labour, then he's beatable !
The missing middle names are David, James and Richard - but whose is which?
What other Tom (comment 1) said. With bells on.
I seriously ask you guys to calm down and consider two things:

1. Your government is still highly democratic
2. You are at most going to suffer economically, and
3. This doom is not going to last forever

There are surely places whose people are definitely, utterly doomed compared to you guys.
Nemesis: Garden Bridge. Guess whose?
A satirist couldn't make it up. The two front-runners have 'de Pfeffel' or 'Streynsham' as middle names. Both names are worthy of characters from Chaucer, Dickens or Blackadder! Yet the winner will still tell us that "we're all in it together.."
Yeah, right.
Without complaining about your effort, I think “Days in Cabinet” would be both more interesting and useful than the count of cabinet roles, and also fit in well with the Top Trumps theme. More effort to calculate though, eek!

Readers of this blog might appreciate one extra line: view on HS2; perhaps this Is useful.
I don't see why the number of children is relevant, No doubt Andrea Loathsome would approve.
Does it really matter who's leader, in the UK it's only what the tabloid papers believe should happen, that counts in the end.
I suddenly need a drink. Double please. No tonic.
I thought the Dover freight docks were Dominic Raab's nemesis.

Patrickov: you're right, of course, in the grand scheme of things, but the point is that the economic suffering and doom would be entirely self-inflicted.
For consistency, either Johnson's "MP since" date should read "2001", or McVey's should read "2017".

(both have had a spell out of parliament: 2008-15 and 2015-17 respectively)
Patrickov: this doom could well last at least a generation and is why I'm so annoyed about Brexit. In normal voting situations if your chosen candidate/party loses, you get another roll of the dice 4 years later.

Brexit was a referendum, which many I've spoken to, including myself, thought at the time, was little more than an opinion poll, yet now the country is being held to ransom over the results, with no chance of reversing the decision in 4 years time!

Bloody Cameron.
If the polling is to be believed Farage will be PM at the next election!
Big red bus - I thought this alluded to a nostalgia project to go back to buses that you could hop on and hop off, only to find that the practicalities and reality are somewhat different. Sounds familiar...
Sounds familiar?

Yes, somebody else made the same point about buses hours ago.
I always thought Streynsham (sp) were a set of services on the M5 in Worcestershire.
You wait ages for a comment about the Big Red Bus and 3 come along at once...
10 to 1 odds we end up with a Chump to go with Trump
