Totally stumped by the cartoon. I assume it's not Ronnie or Reggie.
I'm really enjoying these snapshot strolls along the back (and not so back) streets.

I do hope you continue, but will fully understand if you don't.
Kevin, i think it's Prince Charles.

I've not noticed it myself but use this route from close to the last photo to Wapping when going for low tide strolls on Wapping Beach.
Ah.. memory lane: Driving the kids, when small, to Saturday sports along the Queensbridge and anticipating the thrill of the suspension loading and unloading over the canal bridge hump.. pure pleasure. Coincidentally, the eldest has recently returned to the East End in student digs just off the southern end of the B108 in one of those terraces that would, elsewhere, be millionaires only. I’m enjoying this series of B road blogs. Thanks.
Hackney city farm on the in-between bit of Hackney Road is a lovely place to visit, & a shout out to Hackney Cyclists who are back there twice a month for the free bike workshop.
Kevin/The Other Eric;
The cartoon is by Mel Calman, his work often included a 'little man' presumably because the houses were self built by little men rather than corporate builders.
Thanks Fred! Glad I came back to read the comments for once.
An enjoyable read - thank you.
