For once, your followers seem to be at a loss for words!
^ Perhaps ;) Though I do wonder about the "footnotes" being: a) c) b) d)? Is this a error? Or is there a hidden meaning?

I def not lost for words. Just grumpy!
The pics are nice and have been through the area a few times. It the sort of place that, if lived there, I may actually be less grumpy. As for weddings...well that really does depend.
It's lovely up there, isn't it? There's a good walk from Chesham to Little Chalfont (Chalfont & Latimer) too.

Planning to visit the Roald Dahl museum at Great Missenden this week and looking forward to the trip out there - although going one stop beyond Oyster makes it a bit fiddly...
How close was that to bumping into the great Diamond Geezer! We have just put in an offer on a house near Amersham and spent the afternoon yesterday wandering around Old Amersham (lunch at the Kings Head) including the Memorial Gardens. It was a lovely day for validating that you don't have to travel far from the centre of London to find beautiful countryside. My Grandparents used to live between Amersham and Little Chalfont and I have very fond memories of the area - it has hardly changed in 35 years (except for the ugly Tesco building)
Having spent my early years there (between Amersham and Chalfont) this post has me wallowing in nostalgia. I go back there from time to time (my mother's buried in Stanley Hill cemetery) and really must make a point of doing the same walk the next time. There is also a nice walk from Chalfont to Chorleywood or vice versa.
Yesterday you went for a five mile walk from Amersham to Chesham. "It can be done in three."

Three what? A five mile walk in three hours? A five mile walk done in three miles?

Hope you enjoyed the wedding do, and that it didn't adversely affect your writing up!
I once lived, briefly, in Latimer, so know this area a bit. A small diversion would've taken you to the Martyrs Memorial.
