How good would the design have had to have been to seduce you I wonder, DG?

I hope you showered afterwards.

I went to school right behind the Spurs ground for five years - we got the victorian factory aspect. Some effect the place had on us: almost everyone was either a Man United or Arsenal supporter!

One point of note: the sports centre isn't a sports centre, it's the school's astroturf pitch, where I once sent a classmate keeling over to the ground with the misguided throw of a cricket ball.. PE was never my strong point. Good times, good times.

There has been a certain amount of friction between the economic powerhouse of TH and the surrounding streets - whatever they may or may not have brought to the area, the government's own statistics on deprivation (the IMD) ranks this bit of North Tottenham as the most deprived in Haringey (and moreso than anywhere else in London except a few tiny pockets of Tower Hamlets, Westminster and Newham).

Hey Nico. Thank you for the link. Makes interesting reading.

Nice to see a bit of Spurs round here! :D

You really should have gone up the other (Wood Green) end of White Hart Lane. Two other sporting venues. One a football ground: Haringey Borough, of the Spartan South Midlands League. And a few hundred yards from that: the New River Stadium. Home of London Skolars, of National Two, in Rugby League.
