My local area finally comes top
Never Mind The Bow Stops...did you visit them in alphabetical order as well?
The local area map for Sutton railway station includes a bus spider map.

The alphabet is almost complete. Stops M and N are not shown, possibly because they do not 'serve any TfL routes'.
Someday you will move house and Bus Stop M will fall back into obscurity. A sad day for London's buses.
Around fifty years ago Bromley (the south London one) almost had the complete set. What is more it was very systematically arranged.

If I recall correctly, it started with A,B,C,D at North Street terminus and proceeded logically down to Masons Hill with stops V and W in Westmoreland road. I am fairly sure there were no omissions.

Then route 126 became one-man-operated and the longer boarding time (cash fares only then) meant they had to double the stops in Westmoreland Road so they introduced stops X and Y. Sadly in that period then never introduced stop Z.

In those days lettered stops were a rarity - certainly outside central London.
Sutton's M and N are marked on this map, respectively on Sutton Court Road and outside the station. Google Street View shows M to be an alighting point, but the only "flag" near when "N" is supposed to be marks the taxi rank and has no letter displayed.
Stop DG in Woolwich should be included in the blogging alphabet.

I'm not sure, but TfL might have expanded the use of lettered stops in the early noughties, they did this around any station and areas where different bus routes crossed paths, and were included on maps at bus stops, as a result different schemes can bump into each other, so you ended up with two letter codes, so on the 25 side there are just 3 pairs of stops without letter codes - all between Stratford and Woodgrange Park.
Now I hope everyone didn't take up my suggestion yesterday to give up Sutton for Lent!
Bromley on Streetview.

Note that the map will say 'T' when click on it.
Bus stop letters are one of those things you tend not to notice until you are looking for a particular location, therefore I hadn't ever clocked that Whetstone had a particularly long alphabetical run.

Stop I used to be alongside a B&Q store which has recently been replaced by a housing development with a road name that always makes me smile. I can only assume that 'Quayle Crescent' was a subtle joke by the developer.
A google search for bus stops DG gives some interesting results and opportunities for post lockdown visits?

Fantastic meaty post, DG! I did get rather freaked out by the reference to there being no "I" bus-stops near where "I" live, however!
If you look at the Destination finder below the map Joachim linked to you will see a Bus stop N listed for Destination - Belmont, Bus route - S4. However, this stop is not then listed in the S4 Route finder section!

I have looked on street view to find this but with no success so far. Unfortunately, I was in Sutton town centre yesterday (see yesterday's comment) so will not have the opportunity for a while to track the location of this, if there is indeed one on the route (and M) down.
Ah, so that's why you're missing Sutton!
So you had two letters missing from being able to spell out Diamond Geezer in a composite photo.
Sutton town centre has so many bus stops they ran out of letters. There's an AA behind the police station next to B&Q, AB and AC on a side road opposite the station, and AD (though not currently used by any TfL buses) on the loop to the station car park.
Judicious use of the historic views on Streetview would suggest that Sutton's Bus Stop N disappeared in autumn 2014, with Bus Stop O enlarged to encompass it.
Sutton station used to have three southbound stops. The one farthest south was served by Green Line 711 and its later replacement the 422. The two main southbound bus stops above platforms 3 and 4 served buses to Belmont (only) and buses beyond Belmont respectively, the latter being used by the 164/164A/280/280A etc to Epsom, Tattenham Corner, Lower Kingswood and Walton on the Hill respectively. These services were later replaced by the 418, 420 and 422 grouping with the southernmost former Green Line stop lost. As Man of Kent notes, the two main southbound bus stops outside Sutton station were merged into a single stop in the last decade so it is now a free for all. In addition to TFL services on the remaining southbound stop there is the Metrobus 420 service to Redhill and beyond.
Bus stop N on the S4 route is on Downs Road opposite the Royal Marsden. A short walk from the 80 bus stop on Cotswold Rd or the 280 terminus if anyone wants to visit it :-)

However, as it's in the lettering sequence for Belmont, rather than Sutton town centre, then it wouldn't count.
