I am in a similar situation with my national Trust membership.
In the days when I used a car the NT window sticker was useful for parking in NT car parks. I last used it at Osterley about 3 years ago.
Now I’ve got rid of the car and only use public transport.
I don't think I used last years membership card once!
I have Kew Gardens membership and use the pass they provide quite often.

The garden at Fenton House is very pretty, especially in spring. Rathyer expensive if you only visit the one house though...

Osterley Park is definitely worth a visit. We live fairly close by and first went a few months back, after two years of NT membership. Amazed to find such a great house and garden in the middle of Isleworth.

Eastbury is a bit of a let down - I'd promised myself a visit there for years. Finally going along during the 2007 Open House event.

There is obvious history, but also very little to actually look at. Most of the rooms seem to be set up for meetings, and so look like any other meeting room, except with nice windows and an uneven floor.

Oh, I'm sure you'll find interesting things to do when you're 60. I'm nearly there, and I'm not having any trouble - and no, it doesn't usually involve visiting the Duchess of Doodah's garden to damn her wisteria with faint praise, and complain about the price of scones.

An annual membership seems a bit of a con when they're only open half the year.

Ah, just go. You'll have forgotten it all by the time you're 60 so you can go all over again

If you haven't done it already, Chartwell's doable by London bus from March - jump on a 246 from Bromley on a Sunday.

I could have sworn you'd written about Eastbury Manor in the past.

Damn that False Memory Syndrome...

Given the demographics, a Freedom Pass wallet would be better, surely?

I've been a national trust member since I was about five, I still have a long long way to go before I reach the target audience. As a kid though I used to be able to get stamps in each property and once you filled a book of stamps you sent it off and got a certificate. Unfortunately after you're about 15 or 16 this stops happening, but I filled in two and a half books before I got too old.
